Is unfortunate how we can get too familiar with a blessing we prayed years for,to a point where we begin to complain or mishandle it. Irrespective of what you are going through now,the same zeal and thirst you used in desiring for a particular blessing should be used to appreciate and value that blessing at all times. Proverbs 10: 22 “The blessing of the LORD makes rich, and he adds no sorrow.

Sometimes, God has to intentionally delay the answers to our prayers, so He can take us through the processes of being a good steward of a greater blessing. Based on your unfaithfulness with previous blessing, God can decide to put your next blessing on hold till He thinks you are ready to handle it.

Luke 16 :10 “If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities”.

God will first of all,nuture you by giving you wisdom, grace and spiritual qualities, so you can be mature enough to handle and cherish every moment of that blessing you are looking for.

Be reminded that: the blessings you are taking for granted is someone’s fasting and prayer topic, it is the heartfelt desire of someone’s who is more deserving than you. So having that blessing should be a privilege and should be celebrated and honored each minute.

Christians should be mindful of using our blessings as an excuse for why our God’s giving assignments and duties for the kingdom of God cannot be accomplished. Our blessings are supposed to be a testimony that will compliment us and encourage others but not to compete with the things of God.

We should also see to it that our blessings does not take us away from the presence of God, may we not grow cold and dry and eventually backslide because of our blessings, be on guard because the devil can use your blessing as an opportunity to lure you into taking compromising decisions, till you become a lukewarm Christian and eventually backslide Be reminded

Today, search deep in your heart, what blessing are you so familiar with, that you are taking for granted? Is it your business, marriage, children, ministry, good health etc.? Instead of complaining, thank God for the opportunity and blessings to be a steward of every blessing you have. The seemingly challenging part of you blessing doesn’t make it a curse but rather pray for grace, strength, anointing and wisdom to become a good steward.

Repent and renew your mind about a blessing you have taken for granted, begin to place value on as you prepare yourself physically and spiritually for a bigger blessing. If you say, it is the doing of the Lord, then it should be marvelous in your eyes every second.

Thank you, Father Lord, for your blessings and love for me. Father, I pray you forgive me for all you blessings and opportunities I have taken for granted and I pray for grace, strength, anointing and wisdom to become a good steward of all your blessings, in Jesus name AMEN.

Our opinion on spiritual activities doesn’t change the fact that : the spirit realm is real and has power to influence the way of life of living beings .Spirits are invisible forces that drives people’s actions.  There are two major types of spirits namely the Holy spirit and evil spirits. Our actions are backed by spiritual influences and the outcome of our lives are greatly determined by what spirit influences us. Let’s read more about characteristics of evil spirits.

There are many different types of Evil spirit with different capabilities and agendas. In the bible evil spirits, demons and unclean spirits are used interchangeably

20 Traits of Evil Spirits

1. Before any spirit can accomplish its aim, it needs a body to either work with or work on. Mark 5 1-12, Matthew 16 :23
2. There is different types of spirits that rules in various territories and specific areas. Ephesians 6:12   Revelation 16 :14
3. Evil spirits are always on a well plan mission, they possess humans without permission. Evil spirits work strategically round the clock till you are no longer aware of yourself when they take charge. 1 Peter 5 :8-9
4. There are different types of evil spirit with different capabilities and strength. Galatians 5:19-21.
5. With seemingly innocent thought, the evil spirits can lure you to destruction and eventually to hell. Matthew 8:12
6. Anytime you overcome one evil spirit, spirits that are more powerful than the previous one may invade you if you are not spiritually strong enough. Luke 11:24-26   
7. Watching, listening and giving much attention to ungodly activities opens the door for evil spirit to take charge of your life.  James 1:14
8. Some activities of evil spirits are fear, drunkenness, lust, depression, disobedience anger, Witchcraft etc. Galatians 6 :19-21
9. When evil spirits are accomplish their mission on you and you later  become aware of yourself, you will be surprised at the extent of damage caused. The only explanation you will have is ‘I don’t know what came over me” or “it is the works of the devil” with so much regret. Ephesians 6:10-11
10. Through carefully planned activities of evil spirit, human beings are manipulated to harm fellow humans. Galatians 5:15
11. The Evil spirits can manipulate you into thinking, whatever you are going through, is God’s plans to test you, if you are not discerning enough. James 1:13
12.   Prayer and a close relationship with the Holy spirit will deliver you from the manipulation of evil spirits. 2 Corinthians 10 :4-5
13. The devil is the originator and leader of all evil spirits. John 10 :10
14. Evil spirits can use born-again anointed Christians to execute their purpose just like in the case of Peter. Matthew 16 :23
15.  Evil spirits destructive activities have no limit, until God intervenes Mark 5 :1-20, Daniel 10 12-13
16. The works of evil spirits can look normal and too insignificant to deal with spiritually, like some sicknesses Matthew 8 :16
17. Evil Spirits knows your God given destiny, talent and the bright future that lies ahead, so they adopt destructive strategies that will either kill or delay your blessing from manifesting physically. Daniel 10 12 :13
18. The various types of evil Spirits can collectively work together at the same time or individually at an intermittent pace
19. Evil spirits can make Christians believe, they are more powerful than Christians and they have power to overcome them in every circumstance. 2 Corinthians 10 :4-5
20. Sometimes before evil spirits starts their destructive agendas, they take believers away from the presence of God, believers start to grow cold and dry concerning the things of God. The zeal and passion for the things of God gradually begins to die off. 2 Corinthians 3 :17

Be clear-minded and alert. Your opponent, the devil, is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. James 5 :8

PRAYER                                                                                                                                     Our Heavenly Father, we thank you for your protection against evil spirits, Father please give us the grace and wisdom to resist the devil in our lives and to be vigilant, so the devil and his evil spirits will not take advantage of us. May our passion and zeal for your word be multiplied everyday of our lives in Jesus’ Name I pray with thanksgiving. AMEN
